1. AGI by 2027?
5. Cisco’s Billion Dollar AI Fund
The old guard infrastructure companies aren’t going down without a fight. Cisco announced a billion-dollar fund to invest in AI startups like Cohere and Mistral, while Intel unveiled new data center chips explicitly designed to compete with Nvidia and AMD.

4. Elon Musk Diverts H100s to xAI and X
Tesla needs increased compute capacity, but according to internal emails, it appears as though Elon has diverted some number of Nvidia GPUs destined for the car manufacturer to xAI instead.
Tesla had no place to send the Nvidia chips to turn them on, so they would have just sat in a warehouse.
The south extension of Giga Texas is almost complete. This will house 50k H100s for FSD training.

3. Pika Raises $80M
While a lot of the discussion in the AI video space lately has been Sora and Google’s Veo, video-generating startup Pika has one distinct advantage: their software is actually available to people. The company has raised a fresh $80M to compete.
AI video-generation start-up Pika raised $80 million as venture capital investors continue to pour billions of dollars into artificial intelligence start-ups that are trying to compete with industry heavyweights OpenAI and Google.

2. Do OpenAI Whistleblowers Have a “Right to Warn?”
Yesterday a group of former and current OpenAI employees signed a letter saying that the company isn’t doing enough around AI safety and requesting whistleblower protections. TBH a lot of social media sentiment seemed to feel like if this is so urgent, they should just speak up regardless.
Decels should simply go work in a different industry, what is it that you think you are doing there if not to produce AGI and productize it?

1. AGI by 2027?
A former Superalignment teamer at OpenAI has published a new book arguing that AGI is plausible by 2027, and that the world is not even close to prepared for it. What do you think?
AGI by 2027 is strikingly plausible.
That doesn’t require believing in sci-fi; it just requires believing in straight lines on a graph.

I found a hack that just blew my mind 🤯
With video2video tools, you upload a video, choose a filter, and hope for the best.
However, with @DomoAI_ you can also add a prompt.
This means you can change clothing, body shape or become a zombie using same video file as input!
