5. TSMC Beats Estimates Thanks to AI
AI continues to be a boon to markets. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing beat estimates of first quarter revenue, growing 9% from a year earlier. What’s more, the company is forecasting that Q2 sales may rise as much as 30% based on AI.
$TSM TSMC Q1 FY24:
• Revenue +17% Y/Y $18.9B ($0.3B beat).

4. CAA Testing AI Clones
If the options were A) ban AI celebrity clones; or B) profit from AI celebrity clones, which do you think Hollywood is more likely to choose? According to reports, CAA’s “CAA Vault” initiative is meant to test how entertainers can benefit.
Dead artists will able “to continue reaching fans for generations to come” thanks to AI, CAA’s Head of Strategic Development Alexandra Shannon told #FortuneAI. trib.al/1RIh0Dc

3. OpenAI Releases Assistants API v2
OpenAI is getting into the RAG space with the latest release of their Assistants API. So far, developers seem incredibly enthusiastic about the updates.
The new OpenAI Assistants API can access up to 10,000 documents in a vector database RAG.
It is quite useful and I have already mentioned it to clients that need larger scale RAGs.

2. Microsoft Model Creates Lipsync Videos from a Single Photo
Microsoft calls it “lifelike talking faces.” Many on X call it “deepfakes.” In either case, Microsoft has shared a new model VASA-1 that can produce (pick your description above) from a single photo — with seriously impressive results.
The First AI-Generated Video That Looks Super Real
Microsoft Research announced VASA-1.
It takes a single portrait photo and speech audio and produces a hyper-realistic talking face video with precise lip-audio sync, lifelike facial behavior, and naturalistic head movements… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

1. Boston Dynamics New Robot Will Haunt Your Dreams
Yesterday, robotics company Boston Dynamics shared a video of a robot getting up from a laying position flat on the ground. For many, it was the first time they realized that humanoid robots may be able to do physical tasks way, way better than people.

Bonus: SD3 Beats SDXL
I made 100+ comparisons of #SDXL vs. #SD3 for you 🫡😇
I used simple prompts (all provided below), focusing only on game art & game assets (characters, props, environments, etc.). No cherry-picking 👀
It's clear we have a game changer here!! 🏆❤️🔥
I hope you like it.
