Is This What Comes After ChatGPT?
Meta's multimodal ImageBind model, Anthropic's "Constitutional AI" and GPT4 interprets GPT2
Welcome to The AI Breakdown, the most interesting & important news and conversations in AI.
First, the News:
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman will testify before Congress next week
HuggingFace launches Transformers Agent, plugged into 100,000+ HF models
At Google’s I/O developer event everything was about AI
I have found the entire Google-is-falling-behind-in-AI narrative very stupid. Today's update at IO is Pichai flexing. Google will put productized generative AI across its entire ecosystem for billions of people for free this year. The bar for app layer startups just went up 10x. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

The Most Interesting Discussion
Last week Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was conspicuously absent from the White House’s meeting with AI CEOs. When later asked about it, a Biden official said the meeting was just “focused on companies currently leading in the space, especially on the consumer-facing product side.” Ouch.

Jim should now, given that his team is working in a similar space, which he shared in March saying “After ChatGPT, the future belongs to multimodal LLMs.”
Sure ImageBind is just at a research stage, but it’s not hard to see the vision for what comes next coming into focus.
