There is a growing amount of AI hardware hype and one of the buzziest projects is Humane and their Pin. It was demoed at TED earlier this year, and now the first images of the actual device are hitting the wires in anticipation of a larger announcement in a couple weeks.

4. Stability AI’s New Model Hints At Future of Mobile AI

Stability AI keeps up their grinding pace with another LLM release. Interestingly, this 3b parameter models hints at a future where models are small enough but still powerful enough to actually be running meaningful applications on mobile devices.

3. Tom Hanks Warns of AI Scams

How fall has Tom Hanks career fallen that he’s reduced to shilling a dental plan? Not at all, actually, as according to the beloved actor, it’s an AI fake. Hanks posted to instagram “BEWARE!! There’s a video out there promoting some dental plan with an AI version of me. I have nothing to do with it.” Feels like a preview of what’s to come.

2. Apple Staffing Up Around AI In UK

Apple’s AI strategy continues to be revealed piece by piece without big announcements from the company. The latest thing we learned is that, according to CEO Tim Cook, Apple is staffing up around AI in the United Kingdom.
