5. Microsoft Working with Intel on Chips

Microsoft will work with Intel on their forthcoming in-house chip. As every big tech company gets into the Silicon game, this marks a big win for Intel, who is racing to make its mark in the foundry market producing custom chips for other companies.

4. Behind Magic’s $100m Breakthrough

According to The Information, Magic’s recent $100m raise was sparked by a significant breakthrough. Not only does it claim to be able to process 3.5m words worth of text, but they also apparently achieved a breakthrough that has enabled “active reasoning” capabilities.

Google has, for the moment, paused AI image generation.
