5. Publicis Investing $300m Euro Into AI
The world’s biggest advertising conglomerate is the latest company to make a big pronouncement about how much they’re going to spend investing in their AI capacities. They say they want to build the ad “industry’s first AI-powered intelligent system”…whatever that means!
Publicis, which wants to be the industry's first AI-powered advertising group, plans to strengthen its services with AI. Publicis plans to complete its investment strategy within three years, which includes offering more specific advertising options to contracted brands.

4. US-China AI Cooperation
The White House’s top science advisor has struck a new tone on China, saying that the two nations will work together on AI safety in the coming months. Arati Prabhakar said “steps have been taken to engage in that process. We have to try to work with Beijing.”
The US will work with China on the safety of AI systems in the coming months despite heightened trade tensions, the White House science chief told the FT on.ft.com/491M1k6

3. Europe Launches Supercomputer Resource for Startups
Some have criticized Europe for being so focused on regulating AI that it’s failed to consider how it competes in AI. A new initiative called “AI Factories” are meant to provide European startups with access to the compute they need to build advanced models.
👎 Adoption of #AI by EU companies is only at 8%.
👍 But initiatives like the @EU_Commission's 'AI factories' can turn this around & help Europe's #startups become AI global leaders.
🚨 To succeed, we also need to help them navigate the complex web of EU laws they deal with.

2. Swifties Outraged at Viral Taylor Swift AI NSFW Images
A set of AI-generated images of new NFL fan Taylor Swift in some compromising settings went viral on Twitter, arousing the ire of Swifties, who quickly took to the platform to flood it with other Taylor images and push down the offending generations. If anything can put AI fakes on the political map, it’s the Swifties.
We will Protect Taylor Swift the way she protects her fans ❤️

1. Nvidia, Microsoft, Google Partner w/ US Gov’t on AI Research
Europe isn’t the only region deploying the power of government to increase AI competitiveness. The National Science Foundation and 10 other agenices are partnering with companies including Amazon, Anthropic, Google and OpenAI on the National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource which will provide access to computer, data and training for US-based researchers.
The research community needs the latest tools and technologies to push the boundaries of our current knowledge and capabilities. We’re delighted to support @NSF's NAIRR pilot to help provide academics with access to cutting-edge AI technologies.
