Earlier in the week, OpenAI announced that a new significantly improved version of GPT-4 Turbo with Vision was now available via API. Now, the more advanced model is powerful ChatGPT. The holdouts who didn’t switch to Claude 3 rejoice!
Our new GPT-4 Turbo is now available to paid ChatGPT users. We’ve improved capabilities in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding.

4. Humane Pin Faces Rough First Set of Reviews
There is a growing consensus among reviewers of the Humane AI Pin. On the one hand, it offers a glimpse of the future. There’s a sense there is a there, there. But there’s also a sense that this ain’t it. Not yet.
With Ai Pin, @Humane will go down in history as the company that created the world's first ever AI computer.
Yet, as history proves, version 1.0 is just the beginning of a founder's vision.

3. Amazon Adds Andrew Ng to Board
Amazon is making big moves. The company has been cutting costs to deal with the macro environment; touting AI in their CEO’s annual letter; and now, adding AI pioneer Andrew Ng to their board of directors.
Amazon just added @AndrewYNg to their board.
One of the smartest AI moves I’ve seen.

2. Apple Rushing M4 Chip For AI
Despite their M3-powered line being just 5 months old, Bloomberg reports that Apple is readying a new line of Macs powered by an upgraded M4 chip that is specifically designed with generative AI applications in mind.
Apple is finally joining the AI bandwagon.
The M4 chips, which are Apple’s AI-focused processors, is nearing production.
We can expect Apple to overhaul its entire Mac lineup to revitalize the business.

1. OpenAI Fires Researchers for Leaks
OpenAI is taking steps to tighten the ship. The company has reportedly fired two researchers for leaking company information (although what they leaked isn’t clear). At least one of them was a close ally of Ilya Sutskever.
Exclusive: OpenAI has fired two AI safety researchers for allegedly leaking information, including an ally of chief scientist Ilya Sutskever.
