Apple beat earnings estimates, and used Tim Cook’s call with analysts to tout their advantages in AI. Cook said: "We believe in the transformative power and promise of AI, and we believe we have advantages that will differentiate us in this new era including Apple's unique combination of seamless hardware, software, and services integration; groundbreaking Apple silicon with our industry leading neural engine; and our unwavering focus on privacy.”
On one hand: It seems like it's only a matter of time before Apple starts making major AI-related moves around the iPhone and iOS and buries these AI-in-a-box gadgets extremely quickly

4. Microsoft AI Transparency Report
Microsoft released its first AI transparency report, touting how it grew its responsible AI team, released responsible AI tools and expanded red-teaming efforts. The company also banned police from using Azure AI for facial recognition.
NEW: Microsoft has banned U.S. police departments from using the company's generative AI service made by OpenAI.
New ToS prohibit integrations with Azure OpenAI Service from being used “by or for” police in the U.S. and globally.

2. Ukraine’s AI Spokeswoman
Ukraine has unveiled an AI spokeswoman named Victoria who will be used to give diplomatic statements and make announcements. They say its about saving diplomats time. Statements will still be written by humans.
