5. Saudi Arabia’s AI Push
The Gulf states have emerged as a major player in the AI world, in no small part due to their central place — geographically and geopolitically — between the US and China. The NYT profiles Saudi Arabia’s push into the industry.
Everybody in tech seems to want to make friends with Saudi Arabia right now as the kingdom has trained its sights on becoming a dominant player in AI — and is pumping in eye-popping sums to do so.

4. Survey Shows Growing Support for AI in Workplace
In a recent Axios survey, more working professionals said that they would have an improved view of a colleague’s work if they found out that person was using AI. Overall, the survey suggests a growing acceptance of AI as a work tool.
3. Microsoft Shows AI Powering Cloud Revenue
Microsoft beat earnings estimates for the last quarter, and cited AI as driving growth in their cloud business. Ever concerned with the here and now, Wall St rewarded MSFT for its performance (even while it punished Zuck’s Meta for saying they were going to invest billions more in AI).
"You want to see them spend on AI." Dan Ives of Wedbush reacts to earnings from Meta, Alphabet and Microsoft. "It just speaks to where all this money is going - it is going to a fourth industrial revolution"

2. Baltimore Teacher Accused of Using AI to Make Principal Seem Racist
Welcome to the brave new world of false accusations. A former athletic director in Baltimore has been accused of creating a fake audio recording of his former boss in order to make them look racist, and then circulating that fake audio online.
New frontiers in hate crime hoaxes.
Athletic director of Baltimore high school Dazhon Darien arrested for using AI to create audio of white principle being racist and saying that black kids at the school can’t take tests.

1. xAI Grok Raising $6 Billion!
Despite Elon’s repeated denials, reports have it that Grok-maker xAI is close to closing on a $6B round. With only a handful of credible competitors to create frontier models, big cash infusions are a necessity.
Elon Musk's xAI is reportedly RAISING $6 Billion at a potential valuation of over $18 billion, with the deal expected to close within the next 2-weeks
GrokAI is currently being trained on 20,000 $NVDA H100 GPUs, & will require 100,000 GPUs to train its next iteration, Grok 3.0… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
